A series of rustic rice bowls featuring the natural texture of clay. Finished with a glassy glaze, these bowls show variations in each unique handmade piece.
These bowls are produced in the eastern Mino region of Gifu Prefecture, Japan. These bowls may exhibit 'crazing,' a desired effect of the crackled glaze that occurs during the cooling process after firing.
Before use, it is recommended to perform an initial 'seasoning' by soaking the bowls in clean water (or hot water) before use to allow the ceramic to absorb some moisture. After use, wash them immediately to ensure they are thoroughly dry before storing them.
